Forum Studio, a full service architecture and design firm, welcomes Scott Schweiger as the latest addition to its healthcare practice. As a medical planner with 24 years of experience, Scott will lend strategic insight into healthcare delivery, operations, and trends. His diverse architectural and medical planning background is a valuable resource as Forum Studio continues to develop innovative design solutions that advance the healthcare industry.

“We are thrilled to have Scott join our team,” said Erik Andersen, principal and healthcare practice leader at Forum Studio. “Scott understands the challenges facing the healthcare industry today. He has a successful record for developing facilities that improve operational processes for better patient center care and will clearly be an asset to our team as we continue to provide best-in-class services to our clients.”

Schweiger has more than 24 years of experience in the design and construction of healthcare facilities throughout U.S. As a leading medical planner, he has been involved in over 100 medical facilities totaling over three million square feet ranging from community, regional and specialty hospitals, to ambulatory care facilities and medical office buildings.

Prior to joining Forum Studio, Schweiger served as senior healthcare designer and medical planner with Hospital Designer, Inc. He also has extensive experience in the national healthcare market, including projects with leading healthcare providers such as Kaiser Permanente, Adventist Healthcare, Orange Regional Medical Center and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Expanding Healthcare Practice
Schweiger joins the already established multi-state integrated architecture practice. Currently, Forum Studio is working on two separate projects for Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC), a Physician Office Building and a Cancer Center, along with a building for the University of Chicago Medical Center. Additional projects underway locally include Mercy Virtual Care Center (VCC), which will be the first virtual care center in the U.S., transforming healthcare both in terms of patient care as well as design. Internationally, Forum Studio’s healthcare group recently completed Acibadem University, part of the Acibadem Hospitals Group, the leading provider of private healthcare in Turkey. In total, Forum’s work on the Acibadem Hospitals Group in Istanbul totals 1.7 million square feet, with another 2 million in master planning (currently underway).
