Seven Marine Redefines Outboard Engine Innovation in Horsepower, Style and Light with the 627 and the SpectraBlade cowl with Integrated Illumination
Germantown, WI (PRWEB) February 27, 2015 -- Seven Marine unveiled the new 627, an ultra-high-technology, non-racing, production outboard motor that serves as a technology showcase in performance, horsepower, style, lighting, and innovation leadership. The 627 joins Seven’s 557, increasing the company’s horsepower leadership position by 70hp.
With production slated for April, 2015, the first customer deliveries are already scheduled in select global markets. This product expansion marks Seven Marine’s fifth anniversary, assuring its leadership position through proprietary innovations targeted at the fast growing Super Console (+42ft) outboard segment.
“Throughout my 40-year career in the outboard motor business, one common thread has always excited the market; the combination of horsepower and innovation,” says Seven President Rick Davis. “We are passionate about moving the horsepower benchmark forward and driving innovation, because we know that it improves the boating experience and makes our customers' hearts pound.”
According to Seven VP Finance and Operations Brian Davis, "Seven is driving innovation and growth in the marine business. The fast-growing Super Console category requires big power and a broad torque band to push these boats efficiently, and the 627 delivers. As we look at the market we see that our customers want a production outboard with high speed capability and a sense of style… we are bringing big outboards for big boats.”
VP Sales Sandy Ballou says, “The introduction of the 627 and the Spectra Blade “S Editions” represents our second major product introduction, an exciting development which cements our company’s position as a premier outboard manufacturer. We expect this product release to trigger a tremendous flurry of interest and sales activity in both lines over the next twelve months.”
“Creating a non-racing outboard at 627hp on standard fuel is no easy task” says Rick Davis. “We engineered an advanced High-Turbulence Combustion chamber to develop usable horsepower and torque throughout the operating range while continuing to deliver best-in-class fuel efficiency.”
As VP Marketing and Engineering Eric Davis puts it, “We are five years into our mission to change what an outboard is. LED lighting options are extremely popular in premium boats today: and they should be, they improve the boating experience. As technology has moved forward, lighting has become a signature element in design. So, on our fifth anniversary I am thrilled to bring LED lighting to the outboard, some said it couldn’t be done, but we’ve heard that before. And we did it, because even though our customers never asked for it, we knew they wanted it.”
