By writing and sponsoring this book, PMO Advisory furthers its social mission of advancing and enriching human capital.

PMO Advisory (http://www.pmoadvisory.com), a management consulting and training firm that helps organizations bridge the gap between ideas and execution and enhance workforce development through project management training, is sponsoring the creation of a book designed to help current and aspiring project managers with career development. The book will be available for free or for a very minimal cost, once launched. It is “nearly free” because the chosen platform, Amazon Kindle, only permits five free days per every 90 day period. Otherwise, it will be published at the lowest price possible which is $0.99.

As PMO Advisory works with their clients, and especially since their CEO, Mr. Te Wu, is also a university professor, they receive many questions on project management and career development. PMO Advisory decided to partly fund the creation of this book. The remaining funding comes from a Kickstarter Campaign (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tewu/sensible-guide-to-a-career-in-project-management) that was launched on February 23rd, 2015. The goal of this book is to be an indispensable companion guide for students, entry level professionals, and even experienced project managers as they progress in project management through the Project Management Institute’s certifications such as PMP, PgMP, and PfMP as a part of their overall career roadmap. Plus, this book will include discussions on the latest changes to PMI’s Continuous Certification Requirement (CCR).

“Project management is an exciting and growing area”, stated Te Wu, founder and CEO of PMO Advisory. “With the latest certifications from PMI, such as Portfolio Management, the project management career can now span 20 years or more. Very few other professions have this level of clarity and support from a major institution such as PMI. By writing and sponsoring this book, PMO Advisory furthers its social mission of advancing and enriching human capital.”

Mr. Wu holds PMP and PgMP certifications and is one of the first ten professionals in the world to receive the PfMP certification. PMO Advisory is a PMI Registered Education Provider (PMI R.E.P.) and is the only firm that offers a complete suite of exam preparation products for PfMP including Intelicamps™ (Intelligent & Accelerated Bootcamps), Online Practice Exams, and a study guide on PfMP exam preparation.
