When your mission is to literally change the world, that requires REACH.

Increasing its efforts to resolve the GMO Controversy, Change The World Films launches its first three episodes of The GMO TRUTH podcast on both ITunes and at The Walk a Mile Project this month, as it continues its mission to discover the truth and change the world. With the launch, the project's first phase, to “uncover the truth about the GMOs in our food supply,” adds a new form of media.
The GMO Truth Podcast is an expansion of the documentary/investigative film-making methodology in place at Change The World Films' flagship program, The Walk a Mile Project. Ranging from straight reporting, to interviews, to multi-person Google Hangouts, the GMO Truth keeps listeners informed of The Walk a Mile Project's progress, and provides supplemental information and content only found exclusively on the podcasts.
Eric Battersby, founder of Change The World Films, adds, “We have a serious trust issue in the media right now, and The Walk a Mile Project is here to fill in the gap. We take on one ultra-important issue at a time and see it through to its tipping point, with the release of our documentary on the subject pretty much rounding out that work.”
The big question may be – with a blog already in place and film/video creation on the near horizon, why a podcast? Battersby answers, “When your mission is to literally change the world, that requires REACH. It's very important to us that we educate and empower as many people across the globe as humanly possible, as that's a huge part of our goals as a nonprofit. Producing our GMO TRUTH podcast, getting it out on our website and on ITunes as well, it most definitely helps us connect with more people. I think every new media we produce does that, but I personally love podcasts because they're a great way to interact more personally with our audience.”
The first three episodes are currently available, with more content arriving in March. For more information, visit The Walk a Mile Project online or search “GMO Truth” within ITunes.
“Our project is a long-term initiative to help change the world, and every step of the way we'll look to engage people across the globe... we'll encourage their activism,” says Battersby.
