Greenberg Traurig’s Elizabeth C. Rogers Named President of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts

Elizabeth C. Rogers, a shareholder in the Austin office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named president of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA).

Elizabeth C. Rogers, a shareholder in the Austin office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named president of Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA). Rogers will lead TALA in its stated mission to provide arts-related legal and accounting services to financially-qualified individuals and nonprofit arts organizations, as well as educational programming to contribute to the Texas creative economy and the cultural enrichment of Texas communities.

“TALA is fortunate to have Elizabeth Rogers as our incoming board president. Her work on the TALA board this past year, as well as her lifelong support for the arts in Texas, makes her uniquely qualified for the leadership of our organization. Under Elizabeth's expert guidance, TALA will continue to offer critical legal and accounting programming and increase services statewide,” said Alissa McCain, TALA’s executive director. “Elizabeth’s natural leadership, combined with her legal experience and vision, will be essential in helping TALA use cutting edge technology to meet arts community needs," McCain added.

Rogers focuses her practice on data privacy and cybersecurity matters, including those related to privacy program development (governance and policy), counseling on global privacy regulations, negotiating privacy and information security controls in third party vendor contracts, cyber insurance, and breach response. She is experienced in providing legal advice to executive leadership and board members about prioritizing legal risks arising from privacy and security vulnerabilities. Rogers also creates and establishes incident response plans and associated trainings, privacy impact assessments, and developing policies underlying threat and event monitoring systems.
