AGNITY Announces Cloud-based Multimedia Communication Solutions for Service Providers at Mobile World Congress
Silicon Valley (PRWEB) March 02, 2015 -- AGNITY, a leading provider of application infrastructure to Service Providers, announced that its virtualized Communications Application Server solution and Mobile Multimedia applications are now available for service provider customers. The solution facilitates easy integration and validation of mobile contextual communication and collaboration services in a SaaS business model. The solution will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, March 2-5.
AGNITY’s ACONYX Communication Application Server (CAS) is a carrier-grade Application Server that enables carriers to harmonize applications across legacy and next-generation networks. It is a new generation applications development and execution platform that lets fixed, cable, and mobile service providers accelerate time-to-market by rapidly deploying multiple real-time, next generation IP multimedia services.
AGNITY’s virtualized CAS is built on open standard specifications and leverages the Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) architecture for deployments on cloud-based infrastructure. Applications like Mobile Multimedia Conferencing (MMC), Mobile Business Connect and MobileCare built on CAS offer mobile contextual communication and collaboration directly from the service provider’s IMS core for enterprise verticals. Secure messaging communication compliant to privacy and security requirements is generating a lot of interest in the platform from specific industry verticals that handle sensitive consumer information. The end user experience is delivered either through smartphone apps or through the WebRTC-powered portal on PCs.
“Modern mobile operators worldwide have made massive investments in IMS and VoLTE infrastructure and are now looking to monetize this network investment through targeted applications and tapping the high growth potential of the enterprise market. In parallel, there is a conscious move towards NFV that lets operators use their own cloud infrastructure and scale the platform subscription as they grow, thus significantly increasing operational efficiency and cost savings,” said Sanjeev Chawla, President & CEO of AGNITY. “AGNITY’s offering addresses both these areas and empowers Service Providers to monetize their network investments by offering these new services that are optimized for NFV and cloud deployment. With AGNITY, Service Providers can provide services competitive to OTT offerings but with a much better end-user experience and end-to end QoS.”
