Portage Christian School will host its “Dinner & an Auction” on Saturday, March 7, 2015. The event will be held at the school, 3040 Arlene St in Portage, with the silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m.
“Portage Christian School has had a lasting impact on the lives of countless students who have received a quality Christian education over the 37 years the school has been in Portage” said Brandi Shea, school board member and auction committee chair. “Since we were accredited by the State of Indiana in 2013, we have seen significant growth in the number of students, including a 23 percent increase this year. This auction will allow us to significantly upgrade our computer facilities and better serve the growing number of students and parents seeking a high-quality Christian education.”
Some of the items available in the auction include:
- 7-night, 2-bedroom timeshare in Kissimmee, Fl.
- Chicago Cubs tickets
- Odyssey dinner cruise
- American Girl doll of the year “Grace”
- Themed baskets
Auction participants will have their choice of dinner entrees as they participate in the silent and live auctions. Adult tickets are $15 and available by calling the school at 219.762.8962.
Portage Christian School, a non-denominational school, has more than 270 students in its pre-K-12 classes and has been adding classes each year for the past two years. The school is accredited by the State of Indiana and participates in the Indiana School Choice Program and the ISTEP+ testing program.
