Phone calls have to be a part of the discussion. Innovators have been ignoring phone calls, expecting them to fall out of fashion. But, analysts are paying attention.

Talklocal’s President and co-founder Manpreet Singh, who spoke at International CES, in January, will speak at the Pacific Crest Technology Summit today. Hosted by Pacific Crest Securities- a leading investment bank for technology, the summit will explore tech disruption in consumer sectors.

Manpreet himself will join a distinguished panel of local search innovators as they discuss the future of the home improvement digital marketing and booking industry. His presence signals that phone calls will be a key part of the discussion.

From 2013 to 2014, small businesses saw a 24% spike in inbound call leads due to the increased use of smartphones in the local search and discovery process.
