Manchester, New Hampshire (PRWEB) March 02, 2015 -- Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet Performance, today announced 24 successive quarters of double-digit revenue growth since 2009. This past quarter (the quarter ending December 31, 2014), Dyn continued to shine a light on the need for Internet Performance solutions in an increasingly complex global Internet landscape, releasing industry-leading research about the health and availability of the global web, and signing on thousands of new customers to use its Internet Performance solutions. In addition, Dyn continued to expand globally and increase its headcount across offices around the world.
“Today, the need for solid Internet Performance is more important than ever before,” said Kyle York, Chief Revenue Officer at Dyn. “Every company, from a small online shop to a multinational corporation, needs a reliable presence on the Internet, and must be aware of external issues around the globe that could put them in the dark. Our solutions give companies the tools they need to help identify opportunities and obstacles for expansion so businesses can grow anywhere, anytime.”
The Voice of Internet Intelligence
In the final quarter of 2014, Dyn’s leading Internet Intelligence products and team of data scientists spotted a variety of anomalies abroad that had a network effect on the world’s Internet connectivity. From signs of Internet skirmishes as North Korea suffered an Internet shutdown, to Gmail access becoming completely blocked in China, Dyn’s experts caught it all and were able to strategically advise and re-route customers affected by global challenges. This unique combination of insight and action tools allowed Dyn to sign thousands of new customers in Q4 2014, and continue to service hundreds of thousands of existing customers.
"As a long time Dyn customer, Zendesk has benefitted from the performance and availability of Dyn services," said Steve Loyd, Vice President, Engineering Operations at Zendesk, Inc. "This successful history made it easy for us to extend our use to additional Dyn services this past quarter."
"The speed and reliability of our DNS service from Dyn means we're online and available 24/7," said Ran Michnowski, VP of Operations at MyHeritage. "MyHeritage members can research their family trees and histories, share photos, and more with quick site responses and seamless operation."
International Expansion and Key Hires
Companies across the globe, like the Israeli-based genealogy company, MyHeritage, benefit from Dyn’s expertise. In the final quarter of 2014, Dyn’s business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) experienced rapid growth, accounting for approximately 17 percent of the company's total revenue for the quarter. In order to support and scale those operations, Dyn appointed Paul Heywood as VP, Managing Director, EMEA. Heywood is a Dyn veteran who previously managed the company’s office in Brighton, UK. Heywood’s new position allows him to continue expanding Dyn’s regional growth throughout EMEA. Dyn’s overall business continued to mature, as the company made key managerial hires specifically toward ensuring customer experience. Key US hires in Q4 2014 include:
- Mary Ecklund, Director of Customer Success - Mary’s entire career has focused on the customer; developing and implementing strategies, processes and programs that ensure total company alignment to produce a successful customer experience. She previously worked at Aspen Technology and Oracle.
- Darlene Grant, VP, Sales Operations - Prior to joining Dyn in November 2014, Darlene served as a director of sales operations for Hewlett Packard. Darlene has more than a decade of experience in various leadership roles in both sales and operations, and is responsible for driving sales productivity at Dyn.
In addition, Dyn continued to bolster its Board of Directors, appointing two key additions and naming a lead director. Mark E. Fusco joins Dyn’s board after most recently serving as Aspen Technology President and Chief Executive Officer. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Viewpoint Construction Software and BlackDuck Software, in addition to Dyn.
Jim Baum’s addition to the board comes with more than 25 years of experience growing and managing cutting-edge technology businesses. As an operating executive, his career includes building highly successful organizations, bringing businesses to scale, IPOs, and a multi-billion dollar exit. Jim previously served as President and CEO of data warehousing and analytics company Netezza.
Lastly, Dyn named long-time board member John Lynch, former four-time governor of New Hampshire and CEO of Knoll, Inc., as its Lead Director.
