Leading Spanish Language ebook Provider Aims to Help Libraries Improve Research Outcomes

e-Libro, a central solution for essential Spanish Language ebooks, today announced it will offer free information literacy tools in Spanish and English starting with mini lessons in finding, using and evaluating information and citing sources. Developed by e-Libro’s on-staff librarians with the ACRL’s information literacy guidelines in mind, the materials will be openly available to anyone who registers at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SpanishILguides.

“Improving Information Literacy is a top priority for many libraries, but until now there have not been many Spanish language tools readily available,” said Leslie Lees, e-Libro’s Vice President of U.S. Sales & Marketing. “Our goal is to help Spanish as well as English speakers improve their information literacy skills to be more successful academically and professionally.”

Available soon as downloadable PDFs, e-Libro’s new information literacy mini lessons are vendor agnostic and are intended to be useful to libraries of all types. E-libro plans to launch additional information literacy tools in Spanish and English, which will be openly available to the library community at no cost.
