‘Chip’s Winter Ride’ to Be Featured on MPT’s MotorWeek, Television’s Original Automotive Magazine
Jonesboro, AR (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- The world is familiar with Harley-Davidson, yet for the last 50 years, there has been another motorcycle lurking in the underbrush and forests of the world – a lesser known two-wheel drive, mountain climbing, mud-busting motorcycle named the Trail-Breaker, produced by a small facility in the Northeast. “Chip’s Winter Ride” is the latest installment in an ongoing series of videos highlighting the gatherings of the Rokon enthusiasts who ride them, break them, fix them and ride them again. The mini-documentary will premiere as part of a half-hour program on MotorWeek during the week of March 28th and will receive an encore presentation on The Velocity Channel during the week of April 7th.
“We were bowled over the first time we saw the snowy muck that these Rokon enthusiasts were willing to take on to have some good, anything-but-clean fun,” said John H. Davis, creator, host and executive producer of MotorWeek. “They’re easily as rugged as their bikes, and after watching these rut runners, even I felt like I needed a warm shower.”
The characters of the mini-documentary are a celebration of main-street diversity, mechanical passion and hayseed genius, brought together by their passion for the Trail-Breaker, a 2x2 motor tractor that has a top speed of 25 mph. Riders came from across the country for the camaraderie, friendships and the fun of thrashing these 2x2’s in the snow, rocks and water. Boni Productions is the first to bring cameras into this close knit brotherhood.
Veteran Director/DP, Dennis Boni, received two 2014 PEER AWARDS for “Chip’s Winter Ride,” a silver for non-fiction and a bronze for Best Documentary under 30 minutes. Awards are granted by the Television, Internet and Video Association of D.C., also known as TIVA, recognizing regional excellence in media.
