CyTech Services Welcomes Michael Alexiou as COO
Manassas, VA (PRWEB) March 02, 2015 -- CyTech Services (CyTech) CEO Ben Cotton today welcomed Michael Alexiou as Chief Operating Officer. CyTech is a leading supporter of government, commercial and legal community clients by turning data into action – providing a timely and cost-effective solution to extract key information to both prevent and expose cyber attacks. CyTech’s revolutionary enterprise forensics and incident response tool, CyFIR, is changing the way cybercrime investigations are conducted.
Cotton says Alexiou brings to his new role more than 25 years of extensive, hands-on experience in information security, law enforcement, business operations and growing all aspects of organizational structure in the most challenging environments – to include some of the leading global service providers. He most recently served as the Vice President for the Verizon Terremark Public Sector Operations Team reporting to the COO, as well as managing the security operations team under Verizon Cloud Services.
“From healthcare and utilities to retail and entertainment, corporate America has been under siege of late – the victim of repeated, devastating cyber attacks,” said Cotton. “That’s why Michael’s arrival at CyTech/CyFIR is ideally timed. Michael brings years of incident response, forensics expertise and management experience to CyTech. His experience, coupled with the power of CyFIR, will allow us to scale and meet the explosive demand that we are seeing within our client base.”
Before joining Verizon/Terremark, Alexiou was the Global Manager of the IBM Emergency Response Service with the primary responsibility of quickly responding to enterprise level data breaches in the global theater for fortune 50/100/500 customers and government agencies. He also advanced and managed the incident response/digital forensic services at Internet Security Systems (ISS) before their acquisition by IBM.
“CyTech/CyFIR is positioned at the most critical and challenging part of security – incident response. I believe its innovations will be significant in curbing the tide of the current data breach epidemic,” said Alexiou. “I am extremely excited to join this company as it enters its next stage of significant growth with its forward thinking approach to supporting the global community and its advancements that will assist CISO’s in solving real-world security issues.”
Alexiou has worked in Law Enforcement as a sworn Officer/Agent with specialization in computer crimes in support of local, state and federal agencies to include FBI, DEA, USSS, USPS and NCIS.
