Acton today launched Acton Edge, its new executive education offering for entrepreneurial leaders. The Acton Edge program was created by the master entrepreneur-teachers from Acton’s award-winning MBA program, and focuses on the fundamentals of leadership within high growth, entrepreneurial organizations.
Acton Edge includes two 16-week courses which will delve into the strategies and step-by-step frameworks that explore the essence of what it means to be a successful entrepreneurial leader. Participants will defend, debate and evaluate opposing ideas about real-life business issues, learning to trust and push their classmates and colleagues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to serve more entrepreneurial leaders at critical junctures in their careers and companies with the addition of Acton Edge,” said Robin Bruce, Acton CEO. “Our executive education program is designed for principled leaders who want to advance their skills and invest in building their capacity and, as a result, their teams’ capacity moving forward.”
Through Acton Edge, participants will acquire pivotal leadership skills including developing and internalizing advanced entrepreneurial acumen, honing critical thinking skills, developing flexible communication and embracing creative problem solving. Created by successful, practicing entrepreneurs, the program is purpose-built to provide powerful tools for all aspects of business.
“We developed Acton Edge to teach participants how to tackle real business challenges using simple to learn and use frameworks. The frameworks have proven to measurably increase leaders’ successes,” said Ed Perry, Acton master teacher and executive at Drilling Info. “This structured, proven learning model will include everything from individual analysis to small group discussion to in-class practice––cementing students’ leadership style in the process.”
Perry will lead the Acton Edge Spring 2015 course which begins today. The second course in the program will be offered in Fall 2015, with registration opening in late summer.
