NDPA 2015 Annual Educational Conference to be Supported by Clarion Safety Systems
Milford, PA (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and safety labels, is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing partnership with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) to promote water safety, it will be supporting the organization’s annual educational conference to be held March 11 – 13 in Dallas/Forth Worth, TX.
The NDPA Educational Conference is the leading national conference devoted to drowning prevention, designed to offer attendees the best-of-the-best in research, products, educational programming, outreach strategies, policy and code, and international relations.
Clarion will be supporting the conference by providing pool safety sign materials to participants as well as donating a full “No Lifeguard on Duty” pool safety sign system (for unguarded pools) to the conference’s silent auction event. Proceeds from the event go toward supporting local drowning prevention efforts in North Texas, as well as providing scholarships for students to attend the 2016 NDPA conference.
Clarion’s pool safety sign system is part of the NDPA’s Seal of Safer Pool Practices program – a collaboration between Clarion and the NDPA to promote water safety. The NDPA’s Seal of Safer Pool Practices program provides best practice safety guidelines for aquatic facilities. The goal of the program is to aid in creating a safer experience for patrons at hotels, motels, apartments, condominiums, property owner associations and multi-family owned pools – and to help to reduce the risks of water-related incidents, as well as resulting costs to facilities.
Included in the Seal of Safer Pool Practices program is a guideline regarding the necessity of posting best practice pool safety signs to effectively communicate water hazards and risks. As part of its program, the NDPA recommends Clarion’s pool safety sign system of comprehension tested signs.
Clarion’s pool safety sign systems are designed with clear graphical symbols to draw attention to core safety messages and crafted to comply with the latest U.S. and international safety standards. In addition, the signage has undergone extensive comprehension testing, designed by independent experts and administered by the NDPA, which confirms that key symbols and signs are quickly recognized and clearly understood by viewers.
