Salem, OR (PRWEB) March 04, 2015 -- ESHA Research, creators of Genesis R&D Food Development and Labeling software has released its new Food Menu and Food Menu Report for restaurants.
The menu and its report are in response to customer requests for assistance in complying with the restaurant labeling laws. The menu feature has been designed to simplify menu creation by allowing for grouping of foods, easy display of user-defined headings, and options for including allergen and ingredient statements. The report can be configured with the government-recommended nutrient set and printed or exported to other programs.
“There are a lot of new and revised regulations coming out these days,” said product manager Josh Luth, “and we're doing what we can to ease the transition for as many of our customers as possible. These particular features will help restaurant owners comply with the new regulations they're dealing with.”
The FDA has published its final ruling on menu labeling and restaurant owners will have until December 2015 to comply with the rules.
The FDA has an overview of the rules in Q&A format on their website: http://www.fda.gov/Food/IngredientsPackagingLabeling/LabelingNutrition/ucm248731.htm
