Ultraman Florida is a grueling extreme athletic event that includes a 6.2 mile swim, 261.4 mile bike, and 52.4 mile run. Christian Isakson finished in second place with a total time of 24:45:45.

"This race was awesome and tough," Isakson said. "I am so thankful to my wonderful team and sponsors for supporting me through every part of this brutal three-day event."

Ultraman Florida 2015 had a total of 40 select participants invited from across the United States and several foreign countries, including Israel, Ecuador, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Spain. Isakson lives in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he works as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Hillsboro Fire & Rescue. Isakson and his wife have two children who often serve as part of his race team.

Isakson credits his training regimen and sophisticated nutrition for his success in extreme racing. He began using nutrient dense superfood products from Living Fuel prior to taking on the grueling Epic 5 race in Hawaii in 2011 where he finished an incredible 5 Iron Distance Races in five days on five different islands in the Hawaiian chain.

"Recovery is vital and for training to do events like Ultraman improper recovery leads to improper results," Isakson said. "Living Fuel is recovery for me especially on big training days, and racing days."

KC Craichy, Founder & CEO of Living Fuel, has sponsored Isakson with the best functional super foods for several years.

"Christian is the epitome of a Living Fuel Champion, a remarkable athlete who continues to get better and better," Craichy said. "He is a living example of 'All things are possible.'"

Isakson has finished well in other Ultraman contests, including 4th place in Ultraman Canada and 4th place in the Ultraman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He is now preparing for the next World Championships in Hawaii in November.
