Visit Calistoga Hosts Mudder of All Weekends Girlfriend Getaway Event
Calistoga, Calif. (PRWEB) March 03, 2015 -- The Calistoga Chamber of Commerce announces a brand new event to the area, “Mudder of All Weekends,” taking place Friday, March 27, through Sunday, March 29, 2015. The weekend-long experience includes a scavenger hunt, Pretty Muddy 5K fun run, restaurant and bar crawl, lodging and spa specials, yoga and dining offerings. The event is open to women, ages 14 and older.
A variety of lodging and spa properties in Calistoga are getting in on the action by offering Mudder of All Weekends packages featuring special room rates and spa deals, respectively. In addition, throughout the weekend participants will have access to Pretty Muddy menu specials and the chance to judge “dirtiest drink in town”.
The fun kicks off on Friday, March 27, with the “Scavenge Mud City” scavenger hunt. Calistoga businesses are extending their hours as guests hunt through the city, and race to see their name top the real-time leaderboard.
On Saturday, March 28, participants will head to the Napa County Fairgrounds for the Pretty Muddy 5K fun run, which is an adventurous obstacle course mud run for women wanting to have a unique adventure with friends in wine country. The course features nine to 12 architectural obstacles, tons of mud and a finish line finale with food, drinks, entertainment and music. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate and men and children are welcome to watch or participate in the last wave of the run. Women can also create or join teams and wear costumes. That evening, Mudder participants will don their pajamas and robes for the Calistoga Robe Romp, a lively restaurant and bar crawl through downtown Calistoga. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience a “SpaJama” post-run pampering party. Tickets to this ladies-only event – hosted by Spa Solage – include a variety of drinks, mini spa sessions and more.
To round out the weekend’s events, guests will enjoy yoga by the pool at Mount View Hotel or Roman Spa on Sunday, March 29, followed by brunch specials at many Calistoga restaurants.
“We are so excited for the Mudder of all Weekends, an experience centered around health, wellness, mud and fun,” said Chris Canning, mayor of Calistoga and executive director of the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center. “This will be the ultimate weekend for women to let loose, enjoy a variety of events and have an unforgettable experience with their friends.”
