Azane Holds Low Charge Ammonia Technology Workshop at IIAR Conference
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 04, 2015 -- Derek Hamilton, Business Development Manager for US manufacturer of low charge ammonia solutions Azane, has been invited to host a workshop on Low Charge Ammonia Technology at the 2015 IIAR Industrial Refrigeration Conference & Exhibition. It will take place at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel in California during the 22nd to the 25th of March.
The workshop will provide visitors with a general overview of low charge refrigeration technology, discuss some of the main design considerations and present some brief case studies of recent installations around the world.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s mandate to phase out the production of R22 by 2020 and an increased focus on ammonia charge reduction at cooling facilities have prompted a surge in interest in low charge ammonia systems.
There is also increasing pressure on the US to follow Europe’s lead in phasing down HFCs, including the allocation of quotas for production and supply of high GWP refrigerants which will increase cost and reduce availability of synthetic refrigerants.
Hamilton explains, “My aim is to provide a wide and unbiased review of low charge ammonia technology. While low charge systems have been installed in Europe for decades, the market for this technology is still in its infancy in the US. I therefore want to give attendees a good overall introduction to the exciting world of low charge technology.”
An engineer with over ten years experience in the design, manufacture and installation of ammonia refrigeration systems, Derek Hamilton has the technical know-how in assisting users of refrigeration systems to make a successful, smooth transition to low charge refrigeration systems.
Hamilton adds, “I will be giving a first hand account of the success of low charge ammonia in a variety of industry market sectors where this technology has provided a future-proof industrial refrigeration solution with no disruption to business operations.”
The IIAR is the leading association for the ammonia refrigeration industry. Every year, the conference brings together the best minds in the industry to discuss the latest technology and market trends. The technical program at IIAR is unrivalled and attracts leading refrigeration speakers and experts from around the globe.
The event includes a broad range of presentations, rigorously peer reviewed technical papers, experiential workshops, and interactive panels covering the latest developments in technology, market trends and government policy.
Azane will be exhibiting the low charge ammonia Azanechiller and Azanefreezer at booth 622.
