Dr. Ping earned his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Texas A&M University. He has been practicing small-animal medicine in the Fort Bend County area since 1995 as an Associate Veterinarian, and is very excited about taking on an ownership role. He joined The WellPet Center team in early March of 2015.
Dr. Ping’s family has a long history of practicing veterinary medicine; his grandfather and uncle were both veterinarians. “From early childhood,” says Dr. Ping, “I never even thought about another vocation. Working in my uncle’s clinic really reinforced my desire to help prevent and cure disease in pets.”
Dr. Ping’s professional interests include dermatology and internal medicine. He finds the process of ruling out one disease before proceeding to the next possibility to be very rewarding. “When your patients don’t speak ‘human,’” Dr. Ping explains, “it makes for a challenging—often humbling—yet satisfying day!”
When not caring for animals in his professional life, Dr. Ping enjoys spending time with his family’s own pets. Dr. Ping, his wife Amy, and their sons Tyler and Trevor share their home with two dogs: Dottie and Zoey.
Dr. Ping enthusiastically looks forward to serving the clients and pet patients of The WellPet Center in the coming years. Ultimately, he has one simple goal: “To fix things that are reparable, allowing treasured pets to be healed.”
