The Taste of Alpharetta Named Top 20 Event in the Southeast
Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce that the Taste of Alpharetta has been selected as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by The Southeast Tourism Society.
The Southeast Tourism Society developed the STS Top 20 Events program to recognize successful festivals and special events across the Southeast. Independent judges evaluate nominations to identify 20 events across the region each month. The STS Events publication receives extensive exposure in print media, web, television and radio in the U.S. and Canada. Over 1,600 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations and AAA’s receive the listings.
“We are thrilled that the Taste of Alpharetta has been selected to appear in the STS Top 20 listings for 2015,” says Janet Rodgers, president and CEO of the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The event has always been extremely popular to residents and visitors, and we feel this designation will help us spread the word about the event throughout the Southeast and across the country.”
This year, the Taste of Alpharetta falls on May 7, 2015 and will be in its 25th year. Set in historic downtown Alpharetta, the festival celebrates Alpharetta’s diverse flavors by featuring over 50 local restaurants. The event has become a unique annual tradition to the city of Alpharetta, attracting over 50,000 people to come sample the city’s best foods.
