IOFM Names Brian Cuthbert as Executive Director; RD Whitney Promoted to Group Vice President of Diversified Communications
Portland, ME (PRWEB) March 04, 2015 -- The Institute of Finance & Management (IOFM), the leading provider of training, education and peer networking for financial operations professionals, today announced the promotion of Brian Cuthbert to Executive Director. Mr. Cuthbert will be responsible for IOFM’s strategy and execution and will lead the company’s aggressive growth plans both domestically and internationally.
IOFM currently produces three leading membership networks – The AP Network (http://www.tapn.com), The AR Network (http://www.tarn.com) and The Controllers Network (controller.iofm.com) – as well as five certification programs and six conferences targeting financial operations professionals.
Mr. Cuthbert has overseen all IOFM sales during a period of rapid growth since 2011 – during which IOFM has seen revenue more than triple and headcount increase seven-fold – while enhancing its reputation as the leading provider of “must-have” products and services for financial operations professionals.
It was announced in December that RD Whitney, IOFM’s previous Executive Director, was promoted to Group Vice President of Diversified Communications, the private communications and media company that acquired IOFM in 2013.
“IOFM is poised for another year of rapid growth,” says Whitney, “which is something Brian knows a lot about. He’s results-driven, he has a keen eye for new opportunities in the community, and he is dedicated to making sure IOFM serves the evolving needs of financial operations professionals.”
Over his career, Mr. Cuthbert has successfully built and grown business communities across a variety of industries. Previously, Mr. Cuthbert served as Vice President at Chief Executive Group, and Vice President & Publisher at Kennedy Information, now an ALM company.
“I’m honored to serve as Executive Director of IOFM,” said Cuthbert. “Our growth these past few years is directly attributable to having a world-class team that is committed to listening to, understanding, and addressing the needs of financial operations professionals.
“It’s not about us – and it never has been. It’s about our members, our attendees, our certified professionals, and their success. Whether you’re a Controller or Financial Shared Services executive, or if you’re focused in Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or Accounts Receivable, we will continue to commit ourselves to helping ensure your success – both now and in the future.”
Mr. Cuthbert graduated with a B.A. in Communication & Media Studies, with a concentration in Journalism, from Fordham University.
