A Thrilling Story to Teach a Valuable Lesson
MONTREAL (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- What is the value of family? Is it worth sacrificing for a pet or even money?
In her new book, “Parents for Sale,” Dr. Nicole Audet entertains children while teaching them a valuable lesson—there is no price for loving parents.
When a set of twins’ parents threaten to sell their golden retriever, they retaliate by attempting to sell their parents. What seemed like a good idea at the time turns into a chaotic learning experience as they set out to rescue their parents from an evil witch.
Audet, a popular children’s author in the French-speaking world, draws inspiration from lessons her own two sons learned. When they were 10 and 11 years old, Audet bought them a golden retriever under the condition that they take care of it. They didn’t.
“I threatened to sell the dog,” Audet said, “but then I realized how important it was for them. So, we kept it.”
Through this experience, the author’s sons learned the responsibility of owning a pet. Audet hopes “Parents for Sale” will help teach kids the value of family as well as the full-time work of owning a pet.
