Bethesda will commemorate this meritorious moment in Georgia’s history at its annual Scholarship Gala featuring special guest speaker, Coach Vince Dooley.

Bethesda Academy will host its 2nd Annual Scholarship Gala on May 15, 2015, to celebrate the school’s 275th Anniversary and the Class of 2015. Bethesda is pleased to announce its special guest speaker for the event is Coach Vince Dooley, University of Georgia's most celebrated head football coach and athletic director of all time.

Coach Dooley will help commemorate this landmark milestone for Savannah’s iconic boarding and day school for boys in grades 6 through 12, and share his experiences as an educator, a historian and football coach.

“I am very honored to be asked to speak at the Bethesda Academy Scholarship Gala on the occasion of its 275th anniversary,” said Coach Dooley. “This historic educational institution has an unsurpassed record of educating young boys for every success in life, while emphasizing those steadfast values of spirituality, integrity and accountability.”

The proceeds from the Gala benefits the school’s Gateway Scholarship Fund, an essential component of Bethesda’s generous financial aid program, which offers students a chance to receive one of the strongest educations in the area who would otherwise not be able to afford cost of tuition.
