Babbrah Joins Point-of-Care Partners As PBM Services Practice Lead
Coral Springs, Florida (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- Point-of-Care Partners is pleased to announce the addition of Pooja Babbrah to its Consulting team. Pooja has more than 20 years’ experience in health care services and health IT. She joins POCP from DrFirst, where she launched the health care industry’s first certified ePrescribing platform for controlled substances, DrFirst's EPCS Gold 2.0 and was also involved with the development and launch of the company’s HIPAA and DIRECT compliant secure clinical messaging platform.
As PBM Services Practice Lead, Pooja will be in charge of providing strategic and product knowledge and guidance for Point-of-Care Partners’ PBM clients to enhance physician and member experience as it relates to their pharmacy benefit and medication therapy, and to engage physicians to more meaningfully participate in the medication management process and the secure and efficient exchange of patient information and health records to improve the overall health of their patient population.
She also is charged with developing support tools and services to improve medication adherence and to facilitate reductions in per capita health care costs by aligning the PBM client and the physician to support the patient centered medical practice.
Pooja holds a BA in Business Administration/Information Systems from the University of Washington and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
