Velio Technologies Joins the ServiceMax Marketplace To Optimize Vehicle Fleet Management of Field Service Technicians

Velio Technologies (Velio) has announced it will join the ServiceMax Marketplace incorporating the Internet of Things into cars, and optimizing fleet management for field service technicians.

Velio securely accesses real time vehicle information such as the vehicle’s location, driving behavior, engine idle times, mileage, diagnostics and fuel consumption. ServiceMax customers using Velio’s GPS and OBD-II tracking technology will get visibility into how vehicles are being operated, where they are going and how long it takes to accomplish work tasks.

Velio’s solution allows businesses to reduce the operational cost of their vehicles in the field, therefore optimizing returns. For example, by measuring fuel consumption and accelerometer data, you can get a vast insight into the driving behavior of people on the field. Velio also partners with companies, such as ThingLogix, who gather this data and deliver a fleet management solution in the software-as-a-service model. Service technicians are protected as driving behavior that contributes to accidents can be prevented.
