Toufayan Bakeries, one of the country’s largest family-owned commercial bakeries, is launching the first gluten-free pita chips to the US market. The Chips will debut in three flavors - Sea Salt, Salted Caramel and Chili Lime, following the successful 2014 launch of Toufayan’s Gluten-Free Wraps, which quickly became a favorite for those living gluten-free.

“We received such an overwhelmingly positive response to our gluten-free wraps which grew 168% last year , that when consumers asked us for more options, we couldn’t say no," said Karen Toufayan, director of marketing at Toufayan. “As a family business, we pride ourselves on being able to innovate quickly to meet consumer needs. With more than 70 years of experience bringing high quality pita to market, we knew we could deliver an outstanding gluten-free pita chip. At just 80 calories per serving, Toufayan’s ‘Scoop-able’ gluten-free pita chips offer consumers a gluten-free take on the popular pita chip. Toufayan’s uniquely shaped chips are easy to enjoy with a favorite dip, as a snack or crumbled over soups and salads. The chips are Certified Gluten-Free, Vegan, Kosher - Pareve, Non-GMO, and will be available in a 6-oz stand-up pouch. The product is now available for national distribution and will launch with a suggested retail price of $4.99.
