Engineering News Record (ENR) MidAtlantic, a leading publication recognizing engineering excellence, has named Craig Kotarski, Project Manager at Timmons Group, a “Top Young Professional” for 2015. Selected among hundreds of individuals across the region, including Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and District of Columbia, Craig was the only nominee selected from central Virginia. The panel of judges, including Steve Knight, Associate at David M. Schwarz Architects; JJ McCarthy, Director of Preconstruction Services at KBR Building Group; and Doug Will, Partner at MSA, scored applicants based on experience, industry leadership, and community service.

Craig has worked at Timmons Group’s Charlottesville office for ten years and is responsible for managing projects while working directly with owners, mentoring young engineers, managing networking opportunities, as well as volunteering for several community based organizations, such as ACE Mentoring Group and PACEM (People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry). Craig is an accredited Professional Engineer and LEED AP certified.

“I am overjoyed to be selected as a Top Young Professional by ENR MidAtlantic,” said Craig Kotarski. “This would not be possible without Timmons Group providing me an incredible opportunity for career growth over the last ten years and continually putting me in a position to succeed.”

While working on hundreds of projects throughout Virginia, Craig has also written for regional blogs and led training events, while managing award-winning projects. Notable projects include the Training and Doctrine Command Center at Fort Eustis, VA; The Vitamin Shoppe Distribution Center in Ashland, VA; and Louisa County High School in Louisa County, VA.
