We consider Resource Furniture to be leaders in the field, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our hometown of San Francisco," said Michela O'Connor Abrams, Dwell President and CEO.

Resource Furniture, named “The biggest retailer in the multifunctional space in the U.S.” by The Wall Street Journal, is bringing their expertise in smart living to a stunning new space in San Francisco’s SOMA design district. The strategically located showroom at 300 Kansas Street will provide Bay Area developers, architects, interior designers, builders and end-users access to the finest multifunctional furniture solutions and high-end Italian furniture available for residential, office and contract projects. The experienced, in-house team will offer interior design and space-planning services for a wide range of projects, from large-scale developments to single residential projects.

"Resource Furniture continues to inspire the design world with their innovative furniture line that offers unequaled design solutions for any home”. Said Michela O'Connor Abrams, Dwell President and CEO. “We consider Resource Furniture to be leaders in the field, and we are thrilled to welcome them to our hometown of San Francisco. We look forward to continuing our years-long partnership in highlighting great design and flexibility."

Resource Furniture has a well-developed and loyal following in Northern California, but due to the rapidly evolving Bay Area housing market and the astonishing demand for space in the region, owners Ron Barth and Steve Spett felt strongly that the time was right for a physical presence in San Francisco.

“We’ve had tremendous success in Northern California already, but couldn’t meet the demand without a brick-and-mortar showroom. The Bay Area is full of people who really ‘get’ the concept of living smarter, and opening a San Francisco showroom was the next logical step.” said Ron Barth, president of Resource Furniture. “No other company does what we do. We’re looking forward to working with everyone in San Francisco who has a passion for design, sustainability and maximizing space”.

The 1,800 square foot showroom, designed by Resource Furniture Design Director Challie Stillman, will feature the latest double-duty, transforming wall beds from world-renowned Italian manufacturer Clei, along with a wide selection of multifunctional tables, space-saving seating and office solutions, which will allow the space to actually function like a 3,600 square foot showroom. In fact, the showroom will be able to sleep 18 people in complete comfort.

Also featured prominently in the showroom will be ConcreteWall, the award-winning line of high-resolution, photographic, tromp l’oeil wallcovering from Norwegian photographer Tom Haga, along with hand-selected pieces from many other fine European and North American furniture designers. All furniture products are CARB2-compliant.
