Milestone Communications Expands Master Lease Agreement with Prince William County, VA
Reston, VA (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Wireless tower owner and developer, Milestone Communications announced that it executed an amended Master Lease Agreement with Prince William County Public Works, expanding a 15-year Park Authority agreement to include new sites for consideration as potential cell tower locations. Under the terms of the agreement, 114 new County-owned properties will be added to Milestone’s Mid-Atlantic portfolio of sites actively marketed to wireless carriers, including courthouse land, administrative building compounds, libraries and police stations.
The amendment represents the continuation of a successful partnership between Milestone and Prince William County. Milestone has built seven towers on Park Authority property since the original agreement, with six additional sites currently in development.
Milestone provides a new tower development process that emphasizes communication with community leaders and residents, including dedicated websites, community meetings and social media interaction. “It’s absolutely critical in the development of a successful wireless infrastructure program,” said Milestone CEO, Len Forkas. “We’re excited to bring this model to an expanded list of great properties and communities in Prince William County.”
Prince William County is located on the Potomac River in northern Virginia. Home to over 400,000 people, it has the second largest school system in the state. The Department of Parks & Recreation operates fifty parks, two water parks, two recreation centers two community centers, six sports complexes, and an ice skating rink. Two National Park Service parks also lie within the county.
