Entegrion Announces Appointment of Pierre Noel, MD, to Its Board of Directors
Research Triangle Park, NC (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- North Carolina-based life sciences company Entegrion, Inc., announced that Pierre Noel, M.D., Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, has been elected to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Entegrion’s Executive Chairman John B. His expertise in hematology and military medicine will be extremely valuable as we bring our transfusion products and advanced diagnostic capabilities to clinical application.”
Dr. Noel is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, and is a Consultant, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also serves as Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Noel previously served for several years as the Chief of Hematology and a Senior Clinician for the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and as a consultant to the White House Homeland Security Council in Washington, DC. He served as an officer in the military special operations community from 1997 through 2010, and is currently an advisor to the federal government on issues pertaining to medical support to counterterrorism operations.
Dr. Noel received his degree in medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Sherbrooke in Montreal, Canada. He completed a fellowship in hematology and was a foundation scholar at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
