Bi-Lo Holdings Licenses APT’s Test & Learn Software to Facilitate Data-Driven Decision-Making
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 -- Applied Predictive Technologies (APT), a leading cloud-based predictive analytics software company, announced today that Bi-Lo Holdings – the fifth largest conventional supermarket in the U.S. – has licensed APT’s Test & Learn® for Sites and Test & Learn® for Customers software to benefit its BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie grocery banners. Bi-Lo Holdings will use Test & Learn® to evaluate the incremental impact of its initiatives across marketing, pricing, merchandising, operations, and capital expenditures, tailoring and targeting investments in these areas to maximize ROI.
Bi-Lo Holdings joins the over 100 organizations, including Walmart, Publix, Target, and Giant Eagle, that use APT’s software suite to make informed decisions based on real evidence. APT’s software provides the most accurate way to identify which programs work, where they work best, and how they can be improved going forward.
“Given wide-spread low margins in the grocery industry, finding opportunities to increase customer loyalty, acquire new customers, and grow basket size is incredibly important. Grocers aren’t short of innovative ideas to achieve margin growth; these ideas include expansion of private label SKUs, new fresh food offerings, delivery services, more targeted promotional offers, new in-store technologies, and more,” said Patrick O’Reilly, President and Chief Operating Officer at APT. “Some of the world’s leading food retailers have turned to APT’s Test & Learn software to help them understand which of these ideas will really work once tested in the real world, and how to refine those ideas to maximize effectiveness.”
“Since we began using the software, it has greatly improved our knowledge of how new merchandising and marketing programs are affecting our business,” said Brian Carney, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Bi-Lo Holdings. “We are excited to leverage the software to guide major decisions moving forward.”
