One-day conference to focus on the plunging price of oil, trends, challenges and technological and design advancements in the offshore service industry.

Offshore service vessel design trends will be discussed at the upcoming WorkBoat OSV Summit in Houston on April 2, 2015.

The agenda for the one-day Summit will feature a number of topics relevant to offshore service vessel operators and builders, including the roundtable discussion on Design Trends to be lead by William Lind, vice president of operations at VARD Marine Inc., and Guido Perla, chairman of Guido Perla & Associates Inc.

Lind and Perla will lead an engaging conversation centered around technological advancements of today’s OSV designs, the heightened demand from the deepwater/ultradeepwater market for new OSV designs, capabilities and more capacities. Lind and Perla will discuss how today’s demands have made OSVs much more complex to build and operate.

Other topics featured in the one-day Summit include, “What’s in Store for the Offshore and OSV Markets?”, “Challenges & Opportunities in the OSV Industry”, and a Keynote Address by Dr. Kent Moors, executive chair of the Global Energy Symposium (GES) and internationally recognized expert in oil and gas policy/finance and risk assessment.

WorkBoat Regional Summits, one-day conferences that address topics impacting a specific region and market sector, allow for in-depth discussion, peer-to-peer networking and solution-driven conversations.

Participation in the WorkBoat Regional Summit: OSV Outlook for 2015: Bullish or Bearish? includes a networking breakfast, lunch and breaks, as well as a keynote, and panel and roundtable discussions.
