The Shopular app helps families and business professionals who are traveling find the best retail deals while they're on the road!

Heading out this spring for a family vacation or professional work trip? Shopular, a free mobile shopping app available for download at Apple iTunes and Google Play, is the must-have mobile traveling companion you can’t afford to leave at home. Shopular is ideal for anyone who wants to be “in the know” regarding the best shopping and savings opportunities at more than 40,000 retail locations in hundreds of cities across the U.S.

Not only does the free app help leisure shoppers find great retail offers at the top local stores while vacationing, but it’s also an invaluable tool for professionals who are constantly on the road and living out of a suitcase throughout much of the year:

  • For family vacationers, the Shopular app is a lifesaver for travel weary moms who are juggling multiple kids, unpacking and packing suitcases, living in an out of hotels, and needing to quickly tap retail options close to their location to find essential family sundries.
  • For business travelers, the app is ideal for anyone who spends time shuffling from city to city with little time to “replenish” their travel bag – or grab a new outfit, accessories or other items en route to the corporate retreat.

According to Shopular’s Spring 2015 Consumer Travel Study, more than 90 percent of consumer participants indicated that they plan to rely on their mobile device to find great local retail deals in the places they’re visiting. Since Shopular acts like a virtual shopping concierge, it lets vacationers and business road warriors alike “save” their favorite retail brands directly onto the Shopular app – making it easy to patronize, and find the best deals, at stores already know and love, even if they’re in an unfamiliar city. It also helps them discover the new outlets in the area that offer the greatest savings. The free app will also help them to better evaluate those savings options at the click of a button via Shopular’s “Here’s the Deal” deal assessment tool.

According to the Shopular survey, nearly three-quarters of respondents indicated they have often left for a vacation only to discover that they failed to pack essential items – a vexing problem for any busy traveler! As Shopular’s chief of Marketing Lee Senderov explains, “It’s a hassle when you’re time strapped – and in an unknown area – to quickly find nearby store locations that offer good value. As the mobile revolution continues to grow, more and more consumers are finding new ways to add convenience and savings to their lives using their smartphone device. Spotting better retail savings via geo-targeted mobile deal alerts with Shopular while traveling is certainly one of them.”

After all traveling, especially for leisure, should be as relaxing as possible. According to the Shopular study, 94% of consumers queried agree that knowing where to pick-up retail items at a discount would take stress out of their travel experience. Adds Senderov: “Nobody wants to throw away their travel budget spending full price when they could have more easily found a good deal back home!”

For the nearly 75% of consumers surveyed who plan to travel for business this year, and the 90% who are planning a leisure trip (and the nearly 40% of those respondents who plan to travel two times this year, and one-quarter who plan to travel at least three times), Shopular lets vacationers take their favorite shopping spots along for the journey.
