(PRWEB UK) 9 March 2015 -- Peugeot will unveil its new 208 to expectant car enthusiasts at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The best-selling 208 has undergone a significant upgrade, transporting it into the 21st century.
With a new sculpted exterior, the 208 has been given a distinctive feline look which is not only sleek, but is aerodynamic. The new front grille is dramatic, it looks hi-tech and as it can intake more air, this helps to reduce fuel consumption. The car features the signature Peugeot LED headlights, while rear lights have been styled to the shape of the Peugeot lion’s claws.
Inside the new 208, the Peugeot i-Cockpit remains. The interior has however been enhanced to improve the comfort of the driver.
The new 208 offers a choice of two more powerful and more efficient PureTech petrol engines. The cleverly engineered three cylinder engine delivers low CO2 emissions and great fuel economy.
Visitors to the French car manufacturer’s motor show stand will be able to find out more about the personalisation options available on the new 208. Available in a range of colours and paint finishes, a new colour ‘Orange Power’ has been created specifically to highlight the vibrancy of the new 208.
Geneva Motor Show 2015 attendees will also be able to get a closer look at the technologies featured on the vehicle, such as Mirror Screen and Active City Brake.
Mirror Screen allows drivers to share their smartphone screen with the vehicle’s 7-inch display. This is ideal for those who would rather use their phone’s navigation when streaming their music.
Designed specifically for city driving, Active City Brake is intended to make accidents less serious when the driver has slow reactions. Active City Brake works when driving under 20mph. It uses a short range sensor to detect other vehicles, it senses cars driving in the same direction and those that are stationary.
Other technology to improve driving experience include, satellite navigation, park assist, e-HDi Stop & Start Technology, as well as ‘Follow me home’ lighting.
The all-new Peugeot 208 will be premiered to the press at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, with first deliveries of the model expected in June of this year.
