Custom Magento Website a Hit at Vegas Trade Show

The recognition by the ARA of our hard work and planning is really great, but the best part is what it’s done for our customers’ experience.

After a year planning, wire-framing, design, and development, it was all worth it for awards and recognition retailer Trophies2Go. In January, they were awarded the 2015 Best Retailer Web Site at the ARA’s International Awards Market annual trade show in Las Vegas. The ARA is the leading membership organization for awards professionals with over 2,000 members worldwide. The ARA recognizes members each year at the event for contributions to the association and awards industry.

“The recognition by the ARA of our hard work and planning is really great, but the best part is what it’s done for our customers’ experience. This is proven by our improved website metrics,” said Jeff Anderson, President of Trophies2Go. Since launching on October 1, 2014, conversions have gone up 57% over the previous period. Average order value, time on site, bounce rate, pages per visit and many other key performance metrics have improved, too. “We also made sure to address the mobile segment with our new website, ensuring it was fully responsive from homepage to checkout,” continued Jeff. That has also paid off, with mobile/tablet metrics increased across the board.

The new website was designed and developed with Meticulosity in a collaborative partnership with Trophies2Go. “Before this project, I never knew how absolutely complex the awards industry is. This was hands-down the most complex website we’ve ever done,” said David Ward, president of Meticulosity. “It took over 1500 hours of development time to streamline and improve the customer and sales staff order interface to accommodate the complexity of custom engraved trophies and awards.”

Meticulosity built Trophies2Go’s new website on Magento, an ecommerce platform owned by eBay. Because of its open-source nature, Meticulosity was able to customize every aspect of Magento that was needed to meet Trophies2Go’s business needs. “Without Magento, we couldn’t have pulled this off,” said David.

While the site has launched and significantly improved many key metrics, the work isn’t done. “We’re already working on other enhancements to the site that will continue to make us the best and easiest to use online award website year after year,” said Jeff.

"I'm really excited that one of our clients was honored this way," said David, "It is great to have some recognition for all the hard work that goes into creating a really top-notch website."
