Tipton Communications, a full-service employee communications, public relations and marketing agency, today announced the opening of its satellite office in Portland, Maine. The new location provides a local presence for the agency to serve its fast-growing client base in greater New England.

Tipton’s new office operates from the Think Tank business incubator at 533 Congress Street, in the heart of downtown Portland’s Art District.

"We serve companies nationwide, and we do it with great success,” said Jessica Bryant, marketing and communications director of the New England office. “But the opportunity to work closer with our clients—face to face—gives us a deeper understanding of their unique needs. It adds real depth to our partnerships. Being local is important to our Maine- and New Hampshire-based clients, and so it’s important to us. We’ve really hit the ground running.”

Establishing a presence in New England is a natural expansion of Tipton’s success in the Mid-Atlantic. The new office supports Tipton’s corporate communications business, as well as its new health care-focused business, Tipton Health.

“Our success is proven in the Mid-Atlantic, and we’re excited to bring that model to New England with this expansion,” said Dan Tipton, president and CEO. “All of our clients benefit from our team of specialists: writers, editors, proofreaders, graphic designers and project managers. With Tipton, clients get a one-stop shop for all of their communication needs.”

In addition to supporting its current client base, Tipton will explore new business opportunities in the region as its new office grows.

“As the economy rebounds, businesses are experiencing change,” Bryant added. “They are either working through difficult transitions or celebrating growth. Either way, managing and communicating those changes is no easy feat. That’s where our team comes in to help with strategy, planning and—most importantly—execution.”

Tipton’s current and past clients with operations or offices in Maine include Bank of America, MBNA, FMC, 4tell Solutions, DecisivEdge, PierVantage and Cordjia Capital Projects Group.
