Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) March 10, 2015
Jody Mackey, Author/Illustrator will be appearing and signing copies of Sally Loves . . . to Dance! – Girlie Ualani and her dancers will perform and teach hula dancing to young girls to promote Mackey’s new book, 3:00 PM – 3:50 PM Sunday, March 15th, at the Tucson Festival of Books Children’s Entertainment Stage.
Jody Mackey’s favorite children's character, Sally, was first published in 2013. The original Sally is adventurous, energetic, charming and ever so determined. The story continues in Mackey’s new book Sally Loves . . . to Dance! showing a softer, prettier side of Sally, yet still as charming and inspiring as ever. She likes ballet, jazz, tap dance, even hip hop. But Sally likes Hula dancing most of all.
It is Mackey’s vision to inspire and encourage young girls to gain confidence and have the will to follow their dreams. Exhibiting author – Jody Mackey presents Kumu Hula, Girlie Ualani & her dancers to perform, and then teach the first 25 girls, who attend the performance, to Hula dance, and present them with a flower Lei and Lava Lava skirt (ages 4-10). Everyone can dance like Sally, meet the author of Sally Loves . . . to Dance!, Jody Mackey and even have her personalize and sign a book for you at the Event! Sharing the Aloha!
