Syncron Improves Look and Feel of Web Interface
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- Today, aftermarket service optimization expert, Syncron, launches an updated interface, improves import functionality.
Starting with a simplified login screen, the updates to the Syncron user interface are available for users of the company’s Global Inventory Management, Global Price Management and Master Data Management software. Users will also notice an updated, sticky top menu, newly designed progress bars and the replacement of icon images with font images.
“These changes are the first step to delivering a modern, pleasing and more usable interface for our customers,” said Tomasz Urbański, Head of Development and Managing Director, Syncron Poland. “The most noticeable change to the user interface is the replacement of the charting library with Highcharts, which we believe is the best available product for drawing charts in HTML.”
Highcharts is a charting library written in pure JavaScript. Highcharts currently supports line, area, column, bar, pie, box plot, error bars, funnel, waterfall and polar chart types. The Highcharts library offers new chart types and features previously unavailable or difficult to achieve, like zooming in on a chart fragment or clicking on a data point to drill down for more details.
“We’ve also made improvements to the import wizard and export panel,” said Urbański. “Generic import and export are features widely used in the system because they provide a standard way of exporting and importing data. With this release, usability of those operations has been significantly improved.”
Export windows have been reorganized so that users can now choose whether they want to export data in the format visible in the data table or in the format suitable for modifications and future imports. It is now also much more convenient to select some predefined sets of columns for export. The import process has also been streamlined to finish automatically in situations where no errors are detected.
Enhancements to the user interface and import/export functionality are evidence of Syncron’s continued commitment to delivering fast, user-friendly solutions. Syncron customers are already benefiting from these enhancements.
