Immediate Clinic's Burien Office Celebrates Two Years in Business
Burien, WA (PRWEB) March 09, 2015 -- In February 2015, Immediate Clinic’s Burien office celebrated their second business anniversary. Offering treatment for a wide range of medical conditions, Immediate Clinic has taken this success as a sign that their business is helping to fill the community’s medical needs, as well as indicative of their ability to expand their services as necessary.
Immediate Clinic opened the Burien clinic in 2013 after realizing that the area was lacking walk-in health services. Today, the urgent care center can be found at 15780 1st Avenue South, where it is open 365 days a year, beginning at 8 AM every morning. Like most urgent care facilities, the Burien clinic covers a variety of patient needs, including cuts, breaks, sprains, the flu and other ailments that don’t need immediate medical assistance. However, in the event that a case is too serious for the center to handle, patients can be referred to a hospital located nearby.
“This [Burien clinic] is our third location and we thought there was a need for urgent care services in the community,” said Kirsten Saint Clair, Immediate Clinic’s Director of Business Development. “We wanted to give patients an option for care that doesn't require an emergency room.”
The Burien clinic’s success was such that the urgent care center opened another location half a mile down the road in August. This second facility, which is open 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, offers a dedicated occupational medical clinic and therapy, allowing the two urgent care clinics to better serve the needs of patients in the area. Roughly 20 people work between the two centers, including the clinic’s main physician assistant, Crystal Chung, who has been with the Burien location since it first opened.
Immediate Clinic attributes the Burien location’s prosperity to its ability to provide a needed service.
“I think the community likes to have an alternative to an emergency room where they can go for quick visits and minor injuries,” said Saint Clair. “The office is busy, efficient, and is looking forward to expanding by adding an additional provider to better serve the community.”
