Improved Social Integration, Rewards for Members; New Site to Propel Even Faster Growth

Rally Bus, a crowd-powered, on-demand event travel company that uses technology to reinvent the charter bus industry and bring enjoyment to event travel, today unveiled a redesigned website (http://rallybus.net) designed to increase user engagement, reward members and enhance their overall experience with the company’s social mobility network. Rally Bus offers a solution to change consumer behavior by allowing riders to self-organize bus trips to and from events to enrich the overall travel experience.

The specific features of the redesigned website include improved social media integration for members; the creation of a member referral program; a new loyalty program; and visually appealing site aesthetics to embody the fun dimension of event travel which Rally Bus embodies. Rally Bus has enlisted growth agency Catch New York to redevelop its digital presence, including its mobile application and web site.

Rally Bus offers consumers a solution to capitalize on the untapped capacity potential in the charter bus sector by self-booking charter bus travel to and from athletic, entertainment and cultural events. Riders use the Rally Bus app or go online to reserve bus seats to an event and encourage others to sign up through social media to meet a necessary threshold for a bus to be confirmed. The company is disrupting conventional approaches to transportation and reimagining bus travel as an enjoyable, extended event-day experience for consumers.

Social Integration

The site is completely optimized for use with many social platforms. Seamless registration allows members to rally friends to create bus pick-up or drop-off points, and collect Rally Points for trip discounts, creating a more customized and fun experience for all participants.

Referral Program

Rally Bus enables people with common interests in sports, concerts, rallies and other events to come together and transport them to these venues easily, safely and enjoyably. The new referral program lets members “gamify” the rally experience; the more members they draw into the Rally Bus community, the greater savings they realize on their own transportation. Beyond a financial savings, more users translate into greater environmental benefits and fewer drivers on the road.

Loyalty Program

To help increase return users and solidify long-term partnerships, Rally Bus will attract new members and reward current members for trip bookings, social media interactions and event-day exchanges to collect Rally Points that can be applied towards future event travel.    

Website Aesthetics

In its quest to continuously improve the user experience, Rally Bus worked with Catch to make its site more visually appealing and easier to navigate. Updated colors, responsive design and site animation reinforce the enjoyable, spirited experience that members have when riding with Rally Bus.

Some of the more notable events and organizations that Rally Bus serves are the Super Bowl, Daytona 500, Kentucky Derby, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, World Wrestling Entertainment, NASCAR, the National Football League and numerous concerts, festivals and rallies.

Founded by CEO Numaan Akram in 2010, Rally Bus has received more than 60,000 reservations to a wide range of events from more than 1,000 North American cities. The company recently raised a seed round from investors YEI Innovation Fund (a fund run by the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute), Connecticut Innovations and First Niagara Bank as well as other angel investors focused on early-stage seed funding. Rally Bus expects to pursue a Series A round of venture capital investment this year.

As one of Yale University’s most promising entrepreneurial companies, Rally Bus will be participating in this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in a “Student Startup Pitchoff” with other seed-stage startups across industries. Rally Bus executives will pitch their business to a panel of judges from top-tier venture capital firms including Kleiner Perkins, TechStars and Y Combinator.
