Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) March 09, 2015
On Tuesday, March 3, Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Emerging Technology Practice Group hosted a FundingPost Venture and Angel event that featured a highly interactive roundtable discussion between entrepreneurs and investors in the firm’s Boston office. Approximately 25 companies, across a plethora of industry sectors, including medical device, healthcare IT, ed tech, life science, mobile tech, fashion, music, and film, met with five venture capital and angel investors. Their discussions focused on the latest industry trends and best practices for raising venture and angel funding.
Chinh H. Pham, Greenberg Traurig shareholder, co-chair of the firm’s Boston Intellectual Property Group, and co-leader of the Emerging Technology Practice Group, moderated a panel of investors that included Ross Leav of Presidio Ventures, David Goldberg of Corigin Ventures, Chip Hazard of Flybridge Partners, Douglas Roth of Connecticut Innovations, and Stephen Silver of FP Angels. The investors shared their thoughts and insights on a range of topics, including:
- How to Meet Investors;
- How to Pitch Investors (What You Should and Should Not Say); and
- What It Really Takes to Get Investors to Write You a Check.
Following the panel discussion and Q&A, many of the entrepreneurs had the opportunity to share their elevator pitches with the investors and gain valuable feedback. The program concluded with a networking reception, where entrepreneurs and investors engaged in one-on-one conversations.
