San Francisco’s Ride The Ducks Welcomes Chris Connors as its New General Manager

Hospitality Veteran Brings 10+ Years of Experience to Multi-Faceted Organization

Chris has been an integral part of the San Francisco attraction and tourism industry for several years, and has proven his ability to manage multi-faceted businesses.

Ride The Ducks, San Francisco’s only land and sea attraction, is pleased to announce Chris Connors as its new general manager. Connors, who joined the team in October of 2014, brings his extensive background in the cultural attraction industry to the organization, having worked at some of the top zoos and aquariums in the United States.

Prior to his role at Ride The Ducks, Connors led as the chief operating officer at Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Additionally, Connors served as the past president of the Fisherman’s Wharf Merchant Association and currently resides as the chair of the marketing committee for the Fisherman’s Wharf Community Benefit District Board.

In his new role as general manager, Connors will oversee operations of Ride The Ducks, as well the organization’s sister company, Classic Cable Car Charters of San Francisco. Connors welcomed the opportunity to engage in a new sector of the hospitality industry, now taking on the responsibility of managing two very different transportation businesses.

His proactive, can-do approach is an important quality for this position, and we are confident that he will bring much success to both Classic Cable Cars and Ride The Ducks,” said Bob Salmon, Managing Partner at Ride The Ducks International.     

Ride The Ducks offers 90-minute tours of the city, beginning at Fisherman’s Wharf and ending with a splash into the San Francisco Bay. The ducks visit many of San Francisco’s most sought after neighborhoods and attractions, including Union Square, Embarcadero, Ghirardelli Square, and AT&T Park. Families and individuals of all ages can let loose and enjoy both an educational and entertaining tour of one of the most popular destinations in the world—San Francisco.
