CO Music Party, Wayin Join Forces to Connect Music and Tech
DENVER (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Organizers behind the Colorado Music Party, set for March 17-21 in Austin, announced today that they are joining forces with Wayin, a social media search, analytics and display company, to encourage attendees of the concurrently scheduled South by Southwest conference to interact during the event, bridging the gap between the interactive and music portions of the week.
The Colorado Music Party, which is a five-day-long music festival featuring 120 Colorado musical artists, will incorporate several interactive screens to display real-time social media content created by attendees throughout the event. The interactive displays will be powered by Wayin, a fast-growing, Denver-based company that aggregates social media content in real-time and displays it on any screen or device.
“The kickoff for the Colorado Music Party begins during the transition period between the nearby interactive and music sessions, in an effort to bring together a mix of influential industry attendees in Austin,” said Dani Grant, executive director of SpokesBUZZ, one of the organizations behind the event. “And by joining forces with Wayin, which is a successful, innovative Denver company, we’ll be able to discover and understand the true conversations throughout the event and bring it all together into one location. With Wayin we’re really excited to showcase the talented music artists and innovative tech happening in Colorado.”
The Wayin-powered displays throughout the event will aggregate social media content posted by anyone, from tech entrepreneurs and other attendees to the bands themselves, to give event updates in real-time from the eyes of everyone involved. The displays will not only show a genuine account of each day throughout the event, but will also encourage others to participate and act, ultimately creating a bigger conversation around the best of music and tech in Colorado and nationwide. Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #COmusic when sharing via social platforms.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this event,” said Elaine Feeney, CEO of Wayin. “We’re happy to be among the likes of some of the best musical artists our state has to offer, but also among some of the nation’s most innovative entrepreneurs and tech experts. Wayin is a great way to really bridge the gap between music and tech by bringing all the conversations throughout the event into one location and share the story in real time.”
The week’s festivities will kick off on Tuesday, March 17 with a celebration of Colorado’s commitment to creativity and innovation presented by Colorado Innovation Network (COIN). Highlighting some of the state’s most inspired initiatives, the afternoon event will invite bands, brands and fans to join in the opening ceremonies of the Colorado Music Party, complete with a flag-raising set to a live soundtrack of some of the finest singer-songwriter talent the state has to offer. Colorado music of all varieties will continue into the evening, with the downstairs and rooftop stages in full swing after 6:00 p.m.
