Rise and Shine with Whataburger's Original Pancakes
SAN ANTONIO, TX (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Whataburger and H-E-B announced today that Whataburger's Original Pancake Mix is now available at H-E-B stores. Located in the breakfast aisle, Whataburger's Original Pancake Mix can also be used for other delicious breakfast dishes, including waffles and jalapeño corn and cheddar muffins — just look for the recipes on the box.
The 32-ounce pancake mix uses the same ingredients and recipe used in Whataburger restaurants. Customers simply combine the mix with water and follow the instructions on the label to enjoy the light and fluffy Whataburger pancakes they love. Each package makes approximately 32 pancakes.
"Since 1950, nothing has made us more proud than to put a smile on the faces of neighbors and friends that we serve around the clock," said Vice President of Retail Mike Sobel. "We've had a lot of success selling our pancake mix online, so it was only natural to add them to retail shelves with our great partners at H-E-B."
Whataburger's partnership with H-E-B began in Spring 2013 with the introduction of Whataburger's popular line of condiments — Fancy Ketchup, Spicy Ketchup and Original Mustard — which were bottled and made available at H-E-B stores in Texas. Since then, new products have been added to shelves including Whataburger's own Premium Pork Sausage, Honey Butter, Original Mayo, Whataburger's line of Signature Sauces: Creamy Pepper, Peppercorn Ranch, Jalapeño Ranch and Honey Mustard, and Whataburger's Honey BBQ and Bold BBQ Sauces.
"We continue to receive overwhelming customer support for the Whataburger line of products," said Reade Ahrens, H-E-B Group Vice President of Grocery Procurement and Merchandising. "We want to provide Texans with the products and brands they love, and our goal is to continue introducing new and unique items our customers will enjoy."
Whataburger pancake lovers can also purchase the signature mix for Whataburger's popular pancakes on the company's website, Whataburger.com where they can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States.
ABOUT WHATABURGER:
Whataburger has focused on its fresh, made-to-order burgers and friendly customer service since 1950 when Harmon Dobson opened the first Whataburger as a small roadside burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dobson gave his restaurant a name he hoped to hear customers say every time they took a bite of his made-to-order burgers: "What a burger!" Within the first week, people lined up around the block for his 25 cent, 100 percent beef burgers served on five-inch buns. Today, the company is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, with more than 770 locations in 10 states with sales of more than $1 billion annually.
