Easter Seals Southern Georgia Celebrates Developmental Disabilities Month
Albany, Georgia (PRWEB) March 12, 2015 -- The month of March brings awareness about disabilities and the needs for individuals to live an independent life in their communities. President Ronald Reagan declared March to be Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in 1987, urging “all Americans to join me in according to our fellow citizens with such disabilities both encouragement and the opportunities they need to lead productive lives and to achieve their full potential.”
Easter Seals Southern Georgia recently partnered with Christie Burger with Mary Kay Cosmetics to conduct makeovers for the women in the Adult Day program. Christie gave instructions to the ladies on how to apply their make up correctly, and how to remove and cleanse their face at the end of the day.
