Duplin Winery Of North Carolina Will Open Its Vineyard Wedding Chapel In Rose Hill, N.C. In April
Rose Hill, North Carolina (PRWEB) March 12, 2015 -- The largest winery in the South, Duplin Winery of Rose Hill, will open its 6,800 square foot wedding chapel on April 11. The chapel is set among beautiful shade trees and offers spectacular views of the Duplin vineyards. It features 4,000 square feet of event space under dramatic 16 foot ceilings, a special bridal room, groom's room, and a catering kitchen.
Depending on how dance floors and stages are set up within Duplin Winery's wedding chapel, the facility can accommodate approximately 500 guests for wedding ceremonies, approximately 350 guests for sit-down dining, and approximately 600 guests for receptions that don't require seating. Outdoor weddings can also be accommodated. With lodging nearby, Duplin Winery's wedding chapel is an ideal choice for destination weddings.
The award-winning Duplin winery is known for its “cool, sweet & easy” sipping wines, and more than 100,000 guests tour the Rose Hill winery each year. Its relaxed and fun-filled wine tasting tours are extremely popular, and are available as a pre-wedding activity. Wedding couples can also book the winery's on-site restaurant, The Bistro, for private parties.
“We've built our wedding chapel in one of the most beautiful settings in the coastal plain of North Carolina,” said Jonathan Fussell, president of Duplin Wine Family and head of the winery's marketing division. “My brother, Dave, and I have always wanted to have a wedding chapel. A wedding is one of the most important days in anyone's life. And atmosphere means so much. To be able to exchange vows in such an extraordinary setting against the backdrop of those beautiful vineyards will be very special and memorable. I'm excited to say that — even before we began construction — our assistant winemaker decided to book the facility for his wedding.”
Duplin Winery is the largest wine production facility on the East Coast. Both Dave Fussell, Jr., who serves as president and CEO of Duplin Winery, and Jonathan Fussell are extremely involved in the day-to-day operation of the winery, leading tours and tastings, and having a hand in the winemaking process.
“We're a family winery and our sense of family and commitment to excellence with our guests is at the top of everything we do,” says Jonathan Fussell. “We're looking forward to many years of hosting weddings and seeing couples go on to build families of their own.”
In addition to its Rose Hill winery, Duplin will be opening its first winery outside North Carolina in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. in late spring.
