We designed SmartCrowdz to be simple, fast and easy to use, so that users are able to setup events in just minutes, and that works for both the web and mobile apps simultaneously. -Mike Lanese, co-founder of SmartCrowdz.

“SmartCrowdz” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly AppWatch, which features the latest and coolest mobile applications on the iOS, Android, and Windows markets. Scott Steinberg, a mobile technology expert and special reporter for NewsWatch, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how this app is an end-to-end web-based and mobile event app that allows users to create and monetize different events.
For example, if a person is teaching a Zumba class, all they have to do is sign up and create the event. There’s no tricks or gimmicks, because there are absolutely no costs to creating an event. The only possible charge is if a user sells tickets through the app. But those charges would be strictly for the credit card , without any of the unfair markups.
This robust app isn't only for monetized events. Events can be created for any purpose, from playdates to free concerts in the park. So, basically, if it can be called an event, then people can use the app to promote and invite people to it.
If a user isn’t hosting events but they’re curious about local events, they can search for them right in the app. Features include an interactive map where users can add details about any aspect of the event. And to take it a little further, there's a photo gallery where users can drop in photos to share with guests. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and is free to download.
