In her previous role heading Northeast Marketing & Sales, Angie led one of the largest VP-run organizations in her company covering 3.5 million customers and revenue accountability of over $5 billion annually. Plus, she has given back by mentoring through the Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network in her home state, and by serving on the NYC Lower East Side Girls Club board of directors.”

While in college at the University of Nebraska, I was exposed to women who were leaders in their respective fields, many of whom had broken down barriers making it easier for my generation, and they gave me a sense of what was possible. She being the first recipient of this award and the keynote speaker at the conference this year makes it all the more meaningful.”
Regarding her career at Verizon, Klein continued, “I have a lot of pride for what we’ve built with Verizon FiOS, being part of this business since the inception. Building something at the scale we did, and disrupting the market with a better product coupled with a better customer service experience in a capital-intensive, deeply-entrenched industry, was both exhausting and thrilling. Each year when the customer satisfaction rankings come out, I eagerly await them as Verizon FiOS continues to lead the industry, year after year. In addition to the business results, leading the many people in Verizon who have such a commitment to our customers and our shareholders is what makes this journey truly meaningful. Helping develop the representatives, managers and directors who I’ve had the chance to have on my team and seeing them succeed is by far the greatest satisfaction.”
With the conference focused on Marketing to Women, Klein remarked about her experiences in marketing in the telecom industry and overall, “Women continue to account for the majority of household spending in the US – across nearly ALL categories.
