Bastille Named a TAG Top 10 Innovative Technology Company
ATLANTA (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- Bastille, the first security company to detect and mitigate threats from the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that it has been named a “Top 10” Innovative Company by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG). Bastille was selected as one of Georgia’s most innovative companies based on a number of criteria including: degree of innovation; scope and financial impact of innovation; likelihood of success; and promotion of the state’s innovative efforts nationally and internationally.
“We’re honored to be recognized by TAG for our innovative cybersecurity solution,” said Chris Rouland, Founder and CEO of Bastille. “The proliferation of IoT devices brings new and complicated threats to an organization’s corporate network. As the first company to provide situational awareness of IoT-related vulnerabilities, we’re excited to carry on Georgia’s legacy of being home to some of the world’s most transformational cybersecurity technologies.”
Founded in April 2014, Bastille is pioneering IoT security through next-generation sensors and software that can monitor threats within corporate airspace. This heightened visibility enables enterprise IT security professionals to monitor IoT devices entering their environments, particularly those that connect to wireless communications protocols beyond WiFi, such as Zigbee, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, and others. The advanced insight empowers corporations to accurately quantify risk and mitigate 21st century airborne threats that are the unintended consequences of IoT. Bastille will be formally launching the company at the upcoming RSA Conference in San Francisco this April.
"The competition for Top 10 recognition was particularly fierce this year," said Dennis Zakas, a partner and founder of Zakas & Leonard, LLP, Chair of Group Office Buys, LLC, and chairperson of the Top 40 Selection Committee. "The Top 10 demonstrates the depth and breadth of Georgia's technology community. We are pleased to recognize this group of companies and believe that the community will be just as impressed as we are by their innovation and impact on Georgia's technology industry."
TAG will recognize Bastille and the other winners at the 2015 Georgia Technology Summit (GTS) on March 25, 2015, at the Cobb Galleria Centre.
