“This new flagship location is an exciting evolution for us. We’ve improved on every aspect of the customer experience, as well as incorporated some amazing new perks for the trade. We’re confident there’s nothing else out there quite like it."

The Shade Store, a leading manufacturer of custom window treatments for more than 65 years, has opened a new state-of-the-art flagship showroom in Midtown Manhattan, located across the street from its previous location, which is now closed. Known for its world-class quality, value and service, The Shade Store specializes in custom shades, blinds, drapery and hardware.

With nearly 3,000-square-feet of space spread across three floors, the new showroom features Roller Shades, Solar Shades, Roman Shades, Drapery, Wood Blinds, Woven Wood Shades, Cellular Shades, XL Pleat Shades, Vertical Systems, Cornices and Valances and Drapery Hardware.

Free samples of The Shade Store’s exclusive 900+ material collection are available on site, as is a team of design experts who are ready to assist customers every step of the way. Design enthusiasts, homeowners and trade professionals alike are encouraged to stop by to see, feel and operate all of the custom window treatment options firsthand.

“Our goal at The Shade Store is to offer our customers something unique and back it up with world-class customer service,” said Lisa McClelland, Vice President of Showrooms for The Shade Store. “We’re thrilled to be unveiling this sophisticated new showroom and can’t wait for our skilled team of design professionals to continue serving our customers.”

Every custom window treatment is handcrafted in the United States by a skilled artisan, hung and tested for quality assurance and ships free in 10 days or less. The Shade Store also offers a national network of professional measure and installation experts.

In addition, The Shade Store is committed to creating the best possible experience for the design community and trade customers. With that in mind, the new flagship also features a conference room for designers to meet with their clients and work on projects. This coincides with a larger trade initiative—including a revamped trade discount and loyalty program, a “customers own material” program, and updated contract pricing.

“This new flagship location is an exciting evolution for us,” added McClelland. “We’ve improved on every aspect of the customer experience, as well as incorporated some amazing new perks for the trade. We’re confident there’s nothing else out there quite like it."
